The first tab is My Settings. This tab can be accessed by all user types, and is where users can update their own account information and settings. Users can only view their own information on this tab.
My Information
In this section users can:
- Edit their user information such as their office address, email address, and office phone number. It is recommended to enter an alternate number, in case the first one is unavailable.
- Select setting for when to receive an email on replies to open support tickets.
- Standard users can select to receive emails on:
- Tickets I open/respond to
- Do not email ticket responses
- Administrative users can select to receive emails on:
- On All Tickets (all open tickets/responses in the organization, not just your own)
- Tickets I open/respond to
- Do not email ticket responses
- Standard users can select to receive emails on:
- You have the option to turn the Lock screen on or off after 10 minutes of inactivity. We recommend to keep it on for greater security.
- Once the information is updated, click .More InformationNote- to change the contact name on a user ID, a support ticket will need to be opened. Changes to names are only allowed when there was a typo with the original name, or a name change has occurred. If a new individual will be taking over access, a new user ID should be created.
Multi- Authentication (2FA / MFA)
All users should use multi-factor authentication to provide an extra layer of protection for sensitive PHI data housed in Claim.MD.
In this section, select either of two forms of multi-factor authentication:
- Multi-factor hardware key or
- phone number.
- Multi-factor hardware key:
- Fido2 Hardware Keys are supported. Here are three examples of possible keys:
- USB-A = https://amzn.to/3VXF12X
- USB-C = https://amzn.to/4bxQWKy
- Hardware key + Fingerprint = https://www.yubico.com/products/yubikey-bio-series/
- Fido2 Hardware Keys are supported. Here are three examples of possible keys:
- Phone Number:
- Enter the phone number. Direct phone numbers are required (no extensions).
- Select whether the authentication code should be sent via text or phone call.
- Click button to utilize the phone number two-factor authentication method.
- The first verification code will be sent to the user's phone. This must be entered in the "Enter Verification Code" field, to complete the two-step process. More Information
On login the user can verify a computer for 30 days and they will not have to enter the key.Reset Password:
The user's password can be reset in this section. It is recommended that this is done at regular intervals. Passwords must be at least 8 characters in length and use numbers, letters, and special characters (%$#!) to ensure a high degree of security.
