The "Stop ERA" button is used when you no longer wish to receive Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) from a specific payer or multiple payers (such as different payers under the same umbrella entity) through Claim.MD. It is important to note that ERAs are aggregated by NPI or Tax ID, not by address.
Using the "Stop ERA" button prevents ERAs from being associated with your Claim.MD account. However, Claim.MD will still receive ERAs as the clearinghouse of choice.
Instructions To Stop ERA
- In the Provider Enrollment page, select the intended Provider record.
- Click on the ERA enrollment link that's already completed/enrolled.
- Click on the "Stop ERA" button.
- After reviewing the warning that this action will prevent ERA from posting to your account, click Confirm Stop ERA. This action will halt ERA transmissions from being sent to your Claim.MD account.
