Claim.MD synchronizes provider information with the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) database on a weekly basis.
If an NPI was newly issued or information for an existing NPI was recently updated in NPPES, it may take up to one week for Claim.MD to recognize the new or updated information during provider enrollment.
Payers also rely on NPPES provider information. Because updates may take time to propagate across Claim.MD, payers, and other external systems, it is best to allow sufficient time for the new or updated NPI information to become available across these systems before attempting to complete enrollments.
Note: If an NPI was recently issued or updated in NPPES, allow up to one week for Claim.MD to synchronize the information. Additional time may be needed for the updated information to become available to payers and other external systems.
