Thank you for your feedback
By default our system will identify a claim as an update to a previous record if all of these values match a previous claim:
- pcn
- prov_npi
- prov_id
- payer_order
- proc_code (charge line field, 2400)
- from_date (charge line field)
- charge (charge line field)
Alternatively, if you are able to send a unique claim ID in the "remote_claimid" (REF*D9) field we can match that value exclusively.
That would mean you need to send the same ID each time you re-upload a claim to make sure the previous record is updated.
To request using the REF*D9 or remote_claimid value for updated claims in your account, open a support ticket and request the Duplicate Fields setting to be modified to "remote_claimid".
