Users can only view and edit their own information in this section. If enabled, the Claim.MD screen will lock after 10 minutes of inactivity.IMPORTANTThe **Lock Screen** setting helps protect account access when a workstation is left unattended. It is recommended to keep this setting enabled whenever possible. | | After making any changes to the **My Information** fields, click to apply your updates. ### Multi-Factor Authentication The **Multifactor Authentication** section allows users to add an extra layer of security to their Claim.MD account. This option is recommended for the highest level of account security. #### Fields and Elements \| ![](https://cdn.document360.io/367e6528-88da-4443-9da1-fcdd7e6d4d49/Images/Documentation/image-1774542318405.png) \| - **Multifactor Authentication Status** Displays whether hardware key authentication is currently enabled for the account. - **Enter Key Name** Enter a name for the hardware key. This helps identify the key later, especially if more than one key is registered. - **Register New Key** Click this button to begin the process of registering a new FIDO2-compatible hardware key. \| \| --- \| --- \| TIPFIDO2 hardware keys are supported and provide one of the strongest authentication options available for account protection. Use a descriptive key name such as **Claim.MD** **Hardware Key** or **Claim.MD** **USB Security Key** so it is easier to identify later. | The **Phone / Text** tab allows users to receive authentication codes by text message or phone call. #### Fields and Elements \| ![](https://cdn.document360.io/367e6528-88da-4443-9da1-fcdd7e6d4d49/Images/Documentation/image-1774542338154.png) \| 1. **Phone Number Field** Enter a direct phone number that should receive the authentication code. 2. **Delivery Method** Select whether the authentication code should be delivered by **text message** or **phone call**. 3. **Activation** Complete the activation steps shown on screen to enable phone-based authentication. 4. **Verification Code** Enter the verification code sent to your device to finish setup. \| \| --- \| --- \| NOTEIf a hardware key is enabled, the **Phone / Text** option is not available. SECURITY TIPChoose a strong password that includes letters, numbers, and special characters, and avoid reusing passwords from other systems. | | --- | --- | #### Resetting a Forgotten Password and Verifying Access If a user requests a password reset because they cannot sign in, Claim.MD sends a password reset link to the email address associated with the user account. After opening the link and proceeding through the reset process, the user may be prompted to select how they would like to receive a verification code. After the verification code is sent, the **Confirm Verification** screen displays. Retrieve the verification code using the delivery method selected during the reset process. 2. Enter the code in the fields on the **Confirm Verification** screen. 3. Click **Submit Code**. After the verification code is successfully submitted, the user is immediately signed in to Claim.MD. | | --- | --- | USER DOES NOT SEE THE VERIFICATION SCREEN If the user receives a verification code but does not see the **Confirm Verification** screen where the code can be entered, the expected password-reset flow may not have completed correctly. Have the user reopen the password-reset link from the email and proceed through the verification steps again. If the **Confirm Verification** screen still does not appear, additional troubleshooting may be required. ### Password requirements - Minimum of 8 characters - Must include letters - Must include numbers - Must include special characters such as `% $ # !` SECURITY WARNINGUse a unique password that is not shared with other systems or websites.NOTEAfter a password reset, you may be required to sign in again on other devices or sessions.MORE INFORMATIONTo change the contact name on a user ID, a support ticket must be opened. Changes to names are only allowed to correct a typo or reflect a legal name change. If a different individual needs access, a new user ID should be created instead.
