While larger payers typically check for files on a frequent schedule, smaller payers may do so less often, so it’s always worth verifying a claim's status. You can check any claim status at any time by navigating to View Claim and clicking the yellow SHOW HISTORY/NOTES button in the bottom right corner. This section shows the claim's full life cycle. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/367e6528-88da-4443-9da1-fcdd7e6d4d49/Images/Documentation/image-1730146097689.png) If a claim has been approved for transmission but is still on the [Manage Claims](/v1/docs/manage-claims) screen at the bottom where it would say "CLAIMS ARE PROCESSING TO TRANSMIT", you can actually click on the link and see the claims at which point you can [delete](/v1/docs/how-can-i-delete-a-claim) the claim or [put it on hold](https://docs.claim.md/v1/docs/viewediting-archive#archiving-a-claim) if you want to make corrections to it before sending it. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/367e6528-88da-4443-9da1-fcdd7e6d4d49/Images/Documentation/image-1730235716885.png)However, once a transmission number is assigned, it cannot be stopped. Once a transmission number is assigned, it’s best to let the claim process and await the ERA or EOB.![](https://cdn.document360.io/367e6528-88da-4443-9da1-fcdd7e6d4d49/Images/Documentation/image-1730146006880.png) If necessary, you can then resubmit it as a [corrected claim](/v1/docs/how-to-correct-a-professional-claim) to avoid duplicate rejection. For a corrected claim, use the payer-assigned ICN in Box 22 and include any additional notes in Box 19, which is optional. VOIDED CLAIMSA "voided" claim means that you want to alert the Payer that a claim they have should be completely voided, which is not the same as cancelling a claim from processing, or clearing it from your Manage Claims (which you can accomplish by simply [Archiving](/v1/docs/viewediting-archive) Selected from your Selected Actions pulldown).
