This article explains how to register your phone for high-security two-factor authentication (2FA) using a QR code. After setup, you’ll sign in by scanning a QR code with your phone—no text messages or emails required.
What does this setup do?
It links your phone to your Claim.MD account as a secure authentication key. After registration, you can log in by scanning a QR code with your phone when prompted.
Do I need texts or emails for this?
No. This method does not rely on SMS or email. Your phone scan completes the authentication.
How do I set it up?
You’ll register a new authentication key from My Settings. Claim.MD will display a QR code. You’ll scan it with your phone’s camera and follow the prompts on your phone. Then you’ll name the key, confirm with your Claim.MD password, and complete registration.
Step-by-step
- Sign in to Claim.MD.
- Click Settings > My Settings tab.

- Click Register New Key.

- A QR code pop-up appears immediately.

- Using your phone, open the camera and scan the QR code on your screen.

- Follow the on-screen instructions that appear on your phone until the phone confirms the process is complete.

- Back on Claim.MD, enter a Name for the key (example:
Claim.MD Phone QR). In the Password field, enter your regular Claim.MD password.
Click Complete Key Registration.

Confirm you receive a pop-up message that says “Success...”.
