Resumen del artículo

The "Stop ERA" button is used when you no longer wish to receive Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) from a specific payer or multiple payers (such as different payers under the same umbrella entity) through Claim.MD. It is important to note that ERAs are aggregated by NPI or Tax ID, not by address.

Using the "Stop ERA" button prevents ERAs from being associated with your Claim.MD account.

Important

Stopping ERA will not restore ERA to their previous destination. If your intention is for ERA to be returned through paper or through another clearinghouse, then you will need to work with that entity to change the ERA receiver.

Instructions To Stop ERA

  • In the Provider Enrollment page, select the intended Provider record.
  • Click on the ERA enrollment link that's already completed/enrolled.
  • Click on the "Stop ERA" button.
  • After reviewing the warning that this action will prevent ERA from posting to your account, click Confirm Stop ERA. This action will halt ERA transmissions from being sent to your Claim.MD account.
Restoring ERA After It Was Stopped
Restoring ERA after it has stopped will require re-enrollment. This may involve completing the payer's paperwork again or simply clicking "Mark Completed," depending on the payer.
