# April 2025 - What's New

## Key Changes:

### Verification Process Updates

**Enhanced Identity Verification:** To enhance the security of your account, two-factor authentication (2FA) is now required for all logins.

If you haven't yet selected a preferred 2FA method, you will be prompted to choose either an email address or phone number to receive your verification code at login. To streamline future logins, we recommend selecting your preferred two-factor option in the Settings menu.

For the fastest and most secure experience, we strongly recommend using a hardware security key (FIDO key) or setting up your phone as a FIDO key.

**Requirement for U.S. Identification:** The first administrator of each account must possess U.S. identification. While we continue to support global users, a U.S. resident must create the account to grant access to users outside the country.

**Multi-Device Verification:** The updated process will require users to upload a photograph of their I.D. and, in some cases, a selfie to confirm their identity. This can be accomplished using either a computer or a mobile device.

These enhancements are designed to strengthen our security measures and improve our ability to verify account ownership in the event of disputes.
